Hyperspeed in Five Directions
Hello world!
I was browsing around on my own Twitter yesterday and realized the link to this blog is there.
"Hm," I mused, "I wonder what the last thing I wrote was."
I opened my blog to the horror of horrors: my first impression to every visitor for over 6 months has been my Nazi-Germany obsessed childhood. Let's hope no one important (or cute!) has been here!! Anyway, I realized it's time for an update.
Quite a bit has changed since I last wrote. For starters, my dad and I drove 26 hours to move me into an apartment five minutes north of Magic Kingdom. After experiencing a taste of what Orlando has to offer (and if you think the only option is Disney World, you've clearly never been to Cowboy's), I packed my bags to move back to the midwest and into Lincoln Park, Chicago, IL.
I am in full pursuit of becoming a bonafide trixie. I am accepting designer handbag donations.
Life has, naturally, been absolutely crazy. Starting two new jobs. Meeting new friends and reconnecting with others. Exploring two new cities. On top of the normal chaos of life! Plenty of opportunities to life life: up close. One thing is for sure: life has not been boring. I won't complain though. I try and live by the motto that is now hanging on my wall:
Hopefully I will update this a tad more regularly now, with stories of city life intermingled with tales from fairytale land. Maybe I'll even come up with a regular schedule of entries! Until then, I can rest easier, knowing that my childhood musings are now a second impression, not a first.
Love,
Emma
