"Miserable and Magical" For One More Week
As my birthday approaches, it's funny to look back at this blog that I started five years ago when I took my first trip to Germany. I would like to think that I'm a better writer at this point, but I'll let you be the judge of that!
Lots of people make New Year's Resolutions, but I've decided (as of yesterday) that instead of New Year's Resolutions on New Year's Day, it makes more sense to make them on your birthday! Another year older, another year wiser, right?
So, things that I have decided that I am "too old for" once I turn 23:

So, things that I have decided that I am "too old for" once I turn 23:
- Having a messy room (this includes not making my bed in the morning)
- Hitting the snooze button
- Ugly clothes (or underwear)
- Feeling guilty for saying no
- Going to bed in my clothes instead of changing into PJ's
Things I am not "too old for" once I turn 23:
- Disney Movies
- Pop Tarts
- Asking Mom and Dad for help and advice
- Making new friends
- Taylor Swift
We'll see if I actually give up any of my "too old for" habits. My other resolution is to keep improving my writing by blogging more, especially considering that it is a great form of stress release for my eczmea-inflicted skin! But again, I've made the decision to blog more before and we all know how that turned out : )
Anyway, as an ode to my last few days of being 22, I can't resist rocking out to my favorite T-Swift song in a way that just won't be the same in a few days:
Love,
Emma
