What I Read in February

I'm going to blame the fact that February is a short month for the fact that I didn't finish too many books this month!  That's ok though - it's not a contest on quantity!

The first book I finished was How the Word is Passed by Clint Smith.  This was a super powerful book about the impacts slavery is still having in the United States today, told in a very unique way via Smith traveling to various places in the US to visit museums and tourist destinations and reflecting on how slavery is portrayed.  I often using reading as a form of escapism, and while this definitely is not, I still highly recommend.

The other book I finished is Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt.  This book was recommended to me by my sister in law, and I really enjoyed!  It reminded me in many ways of A Man Called Ove and Friedrich Backmann's other books, which are some of my favorites.

A couple of other books I am already a good ways into, so it will make for a busy month of March reads :).
