Introverted Extrovert? Extroverted Introvert?

Whew, these last few months have really punched me in the gut!  In a good way - but I am TIRED!

In March, we hosted both of our parents for a weekend to hang out and spend time with Maisie.  I also planned a Girls Weekend-turned-Girls Day in Chicago.  Brian had gone on a golf trip, and I thought about planning a trip, but even the thought of getting on a plane and going somewhere sounded exhausting.  Instead, I planned brunch, massages, and dinner in Chicago - and even had some friends travel in for it!  It sounds like many of the ladies are interested in continuing with a book club, which is exciting because we used to have a pretty active book club in Chicago which has fizzled.  Excited to get back into it!

Then in April. I headed out to a Bachelorette party.  I was very excited because it would be the first time I'd really be getting away for something fun.  It was fun to meet new people, and I also realized I can't hang like I used to (if ya know what I mean!).  Also, the travel was BRUTAL on the way back from California - just takes so long to get out there!  (And I'm noticing a theme here - I got some good reading done in this traveling!)

And to round it out, this past weekend we hosted a birthday party for Maisie who turned ONE!  It was such a blast, and we had a great turnout!

And now, I am EXHAUSTED!  I used to think I was an introvert, although I do get energy from seeing other people.  I also love planning events and spending time with people there - but I definitely am worn out when they are all over.  So I'm excited for our relatively quiet weekends in May before the chaos of the summer starts up in June!
