Some New Favorite Children's Books

While I just shared my favorite books for me from maternity leave, we've also read all sorts of children's books!  Many of what we have read are "the classics" but here are a just a few few of my new found favorites!  (This list is definitely not exhaustive!)

Dog's First Baby: A Board Book - Nelson, Natalie

Dog's First Baby by Natalie Nelson: So fun to read with Poppy and Maisie!  This is definitely the book we read most in our house.

Love Makes a Family - Beer, Sophie

Love Makes a Family by Sophie Beer: Super sweet and colorful book.

Goodnight, Veggies Board Book - Murray, Diana

Goodnight, Veggies by Diana Murray and Zachariah OHora: My SIL Steph is a children's librarian, and she gifted a few of her favorites to us, including this one.

I Want My Hat Back - Klassen, Jon

I Want My Hat Back by Jon Klassen: Very funny for the adults.  My dad said, "This is NOT a children's book!"  Another Steph recommendation.

City Lullaby: 0046442607032: Singer, Marilyn, Cneut, Carll: Books - Amazon.com

City Lullaby by Marilyn Singer: Reminds me of all of our walks through the city!

Room on the Broom - Donaldson, Julia

Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson: My favorite of all of our Halloween reads, also recommended by Steph.

Popcorn (A Frank Asch Bear Book): Asch, Frank, Asch, Frank: 9781442466630: Amazon.com: Books

Popcorn by Frank Asch: This is a new-to-us book rather than a new, but a recommendation from Erin and definitely Brian's favorite, given his love of Popcorn.

The Noisy Book - Bravi, Soledad

The Noisy Book by Soledad Bravi: Lots of fun sounds!  So many pages but very quick to read (and fun as an adult to look how to spell some everyday sounds).

What should we read next?

xoxo, Emma
