In Bonn

I'm finally here! and a little more than a tad bit culture shocked
When I first arrived at the Köln/Bonn airport, I searched up and down and left and right lugging around my overpacked luggage trying to find customs and figure out if I needed to get my passport stamped, etc. I FINALLY found the place, and found out I didn't need to do anything.
After getting slightly lost, I finally found my hotel, only to find that I was on the 4th floor...with no elevator. The lady working the pub/hotel was super nice and made sure I got to my room alright.
I took a taxi to the Goethe-Instutit and got here easily. I took a placement test and they showed me around a little. I tested into "B-1-1" which really means nothing to me besides the fact that they told me what classroom to go to. The girls living next door to me are also in my class, which is nice because I'd already met them. My roommate isn't in my class right now but she might switch to mine.
My roommate is from South Korea, but she's lived in the United States for a while now. She will be a junior at Brown. It's nice because we can talk in English if we absolutely have to, but we try to talk in German as much as possible so we can practice.
Classes seem like they will be good. I think I'm in the right level, which is a very good thing. I have a little bit of homework tonight, but not too much.

Liebe von Deutschland,
Emma
